Code Of Conduct
I understand the way I conduct my business reflects on the whole CSP™ staging community so I will conduct my business practice in such a way to always protect and earn the respect of the client, my fellow staging industry specialists, the real estate industry and the public at large. I also understand violation of this code may result in revocation of my designation.- I shall never accept any professional responsibilities unless adequately educated; skilled and experienced to do so.
- Prior to the work actually starting, I shall always inform the client of the scope of work, pricing and accepted form of payment. I also agree to carry appropriate business insurance and be willing to provide a copy of coverage to clients.
- I shall never divulge confidential information about the client, the client project, photographs, course material or videos without the prior written consent of the appropriate person(s).
- I shall always conduct my professional activities with honesty, integrity, fairness and respect; not initiate, engage or participate in any discussion or activity which might result in unjust harm to the reputation or business relationship of another industry professional, to the CCSP™ certification or program or to Decorating Solutions (Niagara) Inc., including the division Canadian Staging Professionals and Certified Staging Professionals.
- I shall never engage in any form or false or misleading promotional or advertising activities. Will not knowingly plagiarize or take credit for work, which is not my own, including copying text or photographs from any website.
- I shall educate homeowners, real estate agents, the media and others about: staging, the CCSP™ certification and the value of having the CCSP™ seal of approval before ANY marketing starts.
- I shall support industry standards: as a CCSP™ I agree to follow the approved CCSP™ three step staging process and only approve properties for the CSP Logo™ sign rider which have truly met a level of quality to support being “ready for sale”.
- I shall use the CCSP™ certification mark and the CSP Logo™ only in association with home staging services as taught in the CCSP™ program.
- I agree that my license to use the CSP Logo™, as well as my access to the full benefit of the CCSP™ directory and resource centre, will continue only while I remain a CCSP™ member in good standing.
- I agree to always display the CSP Logo™ and the CCSP™ certification mark in the approved format and not to change them in any way. I also agree that all internet displays of the CSP Logo™ will include a hyperlink to the Canadian Staging Professionals corporate website www.canadianstagingprofessionals.com.
- I agree to adhere to this code of conduct, and to any other standards established by Decorating Solutions (Niagara) Inc. governing the use of the CCSP™ certification mark and the CSP Logo™. I understand that violation of this code or of any standards may result in revocation of my license to use the CCSP™ certification mark and/or the CSP Logo™.
